Your ability to use a pen to shade so effectively is so unique.

I recently have been switching from pencil to pen, but I can't seem to get the shading to look as effecting as yours :(
not a problem! i love how you're exploring your style with the blue ballpoint ink. plus, if you look through my work you'll see that i'm very happy to bring together lotus designs i like!

best,
Nettra

Ooo....interesting choice of medium. Blue ink....adds a little spice to the drawings. :)

Lovely work btw.

I think it adds something to it that's a little bit different
Thank you

Do you know of any other artists Liam, who use the blue pen as their primary medium?

There are a few of us around. One guy that I really like is a Spanish artist by the name of Juan Francisco Casas [link]

LiamS.
Yes, I know of Juan Franisco, but I don't find his artwork particularly interesting. Mostly just portrait stuff done really really big.

Unless he has other stuff I haven't seen. I feel both you and I could do his style quite easily. It's good that he has a market though for his stuff.

If, that is what he wants.

I worked out that in Australia (where I'm currently living) I can actually make more money (hourly rate) by painting someone's house white, than by selling my artwork.

If that's the case, I would much rather keep it for myself, or give it to people whom I appreciate for their friendship/service when the opporutnity arises.

... and what do you do with your napkins and sheets of paper?
